NC high school teacher has sex with students and takes one for an abortion

Every time I read a story like this if scares me as I have three daughters, one who will be a teenager next year. Not only did this teacher sleep with students, he took one to an abortion clinic to kill their child. The problem is that the abortion clinic never reported this crime.

Here is a section of the article from the Associated Press:

A former high school band teacher in North Carolina was arrested on sex charges after a young woman wrote in an essay in her college newspaper that he got her pregnant — and took her to get an abortion — when she was his student.

The essay, “I had an affair with my high school teacher,” used some fake names but identified the Winston-Salem school, and the principal there tipped off authorities. It was originally written for a composition class at North Carolina Central University and appeared in the campus paper this month as part of an annual special section.

The piece, which describes a relationship that started when the student was 17 and her teacher 24, begins with a chilling description of the abortion.

“The sound of the vacuum still rings in my ears almost three years later,” she wrote. “He had taken me to Greensboro because he was scared of someone from school or anyone catching us together at the abortion clinic — didn’t want anyone ‘getting the wrong idea.’”
The teacher, Terry Lamar Jones, now 28, turned himself in on Monday and was charged with 64 felony counts of sex with a student, each one punishable by 15 months in prison. He was jailed on $500,000 bail.

Jones’ attorney, David Freedman, said: “People are quick to judge in matters when people are charged, especially when a teacher is accused of having a relationship with a student.”

The woman, now a college junior, used her real name in the essay, and it was published along with a photo, but The Associated Press is not identifying her because police consider her a victim of a sex crime.

If the teacher has been arrested on 64 charges, why is the abortion mill not being charged with covering up these crimes? It makes no sense that what the teacher did was wrong but it is not wrong for other adults to hide these crimes. How many many stories, how many videos, how many young girls have to be sexually violated before the abortion industry is held accountable?

In Carolina news today: a story about a former Klansman and a story about a teacher. Who’d have thought the feel-good story would be the former.

This story is terrible, and you’re right, the abortion mill should be charged too. The problem is there’s probably no “hard evidence” to prove they didn’t know she was a minor or something equally absurd.

    PS – Here’s the story about the ex-Klansman: http://www.heraldonline.com/2011/04/27/3018567_p2/former-sc-klansman-who-beat-up.html

I think this young woman needs to be advised to press charges against Planned Parenthood. She’s already come this far, she may as well go all the way!

As much as i hate to defend the bad guys, the age of consent is 16 in NC – she was 17. The only reason it was illegal is because he was her teacher. If she didn’t mention that the father was her teacher, and there is no reason why she would, the abortionist and staff wouldn’t have had any reason to suspect anything illegal.

    It’s in the article.

Sounds like the ones that need to be held accountable sit in the legislature.

“The only reason it was illegal is because he was her teacher.”

    Illegal is illegal.

You are in the wrong business man. Hold Planned Parenthood responsible? Cmon. You should be going after mom and dad. She’s quoted as saying “I just wanted the attention.” Spend some time looking into that background. Betcha the home was broken. That has absolutely nothing to do with Planned Parenthood or reporting the “crime.” Besides, Planned Parenthood doesn’t ask questions so they wouldn’t even have known the extent of the relationship. Hell, at least he went with her. The only crime was the fact she was his student, not that they had sex. She is not a stake for your cause and don’t turn her into one.

As we already know, abortion clinics have exceptions to the law. So far the clinic has not been charged with anything, although they are required to notify authorities of statutory rape.. Compare that to a crime scene in the streets. If someone who is not guilty of a crime lies to the police to keep information from them they can go to jail for obstruction of justice. Although these are two different examples, the idea is still the same. **Just another problem with the judicial system**
