I have protested peacefully well over dozens times at political events where secret are present, now this could be a felony offense. Breaking: Kroger, Albertson’s and Tom Thumb in Texas are donating to Abortion Fund for Low-Income/Minority Women

Our Friends at Abortionwiki.org just released this about three Texas grocery stores..

New Research conducted by AbortionWiki has uncovered that Texas branches of popular grocery stores Kroger, Tom Thumb & Albertson’s are donors to an organization known as the “Texas Equal Access (TEA) Fund”

The three Texas grocery stores donate 1% of the purchases of registered TEA Fund members to the TEA Fund.

Serving on the board of the TEA Fund is Jenni Heasman-Beaver, general manager for the Southwestern Women’s Surgery Center late-term abortion mill located in Dallas, TX.

Operating under the guise of assisting low-income women to gain access to abortion, money raised by the Fund goes directly into the coffers of abortion-mills such as Southwestern. To the tune of $151,000 in 2010.

Some of you will be saying - “I shop at one of these stores, but I’m not signed up to this donation program!

However keep in mind that it is these stores, not the individual shoppers who are directly donating to the Fund. Therefore, when you shop at one of these stores, you are patronizing a store which is a direct funder of abortions for low-income/minority women.

TEA Fund Targets Minority Women: In 2008, 47% of these mothers were African American, 19% were Hispanic. 46% of the mothers were between the ages of 12 – 22.

Pro-life Student Group Arrested And Being Held In Jail For Practicing Free Speech – Story and Pics Here.

Members of the Survivors Campus Life Tour were arrested yesterday during a lawful pro-life outreach at a public high school. It does not matter whether you agree with using graphic abortion images or not, this is a violation of their civil rights and an attack on free speech.

The Survivors was founded by Jeff White who is also my mentor and the co-founder of Rock for Life with me. Jeff is the reason I started in full time pro-life work almost 20 years ago; he is an inspiration to so many young pro-lifers. The Survivors is truly one of the most important youth pro-life organizations in the world. These are my roots.

As Youth Outreach Director for Priests for Life, my job is to help educate, activate and equip young people to be a voice for life in this culture of death. When courageous young people like the Survivors are arrested for standing up for life and practicing free speech we must be outraged. We at Priests for Life stand by the Survivors, they are an inspiration to young pro-lifers around the world.

Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life said, “Those who are persecuting these brave young pro-life activists are cowards, and a good example of what is wrong in our culture today. I consider the Survivors to be a movement within the pro-life movement, inspiring all of us to give ourselves more generously  for the unborn. Sometimes that means arrest and prison, not for doing wrong, but for standing up against wrongdoing.”

BREAKING NEWS: Survivors arrested in Jackson, Mississippi! The Campus Life Team were arrested for standing on a public sidewalk in front of Murrah High this afternoon. Moments after arriving at the campus to share the message of Life, Kristina Garza and Brianna Baxter were handcuffed and taken to the county jail while two more members had their signs and lit taken from them and were forced across the street. Please pray as the Survivors continue standing for their first amendment rights in this situation! We will keep you updated.

URGENT REQUEST: The Survivors are STILL being punitively held at the Hinds County Jail. At this point, Jackson will probably attempt to hold them overnight. Do you want to help the Survivors? Call the Hinds County Jail booking office RIGHT NOW and ask that the Survivors be released! Call 601-857-4800, ask for Deputy Williams (booking Deputy).

LOCAL NEWS: As quoted in this news article from WAPT, the superintendent of Jackson Public Schools and local law enforcement say they had “no recourse but to arrest the demonstrators,” claiming the Survivors were trespassing and creating a safety issue. The Survivors were on a PUBLIC SIDEWALK when they were arrested, peacefully handing out literature and holding signs. Murrah, the only safety issue we see is your administration endangering our right to freedom of speech.

KEEP THE CALLS GOING! Survivors have just found out that Jackson PD is holding the team because the Campus Enforcement will not release the paperwork. The more calls coming into the booking office, the faster they will move to get that paperwork! PLEASE CALL 601-857-4800, request to speak with Deputy Williams (booking deputy), ask him why they haven’t released the young pro-lifers arrested early this afternoon!

UPDATE: Jackson PD kept Kristina Garza and Brianna Baxter in the county jail all night after unlawfully arresting them yesterday afternoon for “disorderly conduct” and “interfering with a bus driver.” BOTH FALSE CHARGES. The Survivors were handing out literature on a public sidewalk — an activity that is well within their rights as citizens and which poses no danger to anyone around them. Kristina and Brianna will go before the judge at 9 AM this morning. PLEASE KEEP THEM IN YOUR PRAYERS!

Update 10:25 AM Both Kristina and Brianna are being held on $2000 bonds each. They were not put on the court docket today but the rest of the team is trying hard to get them added to this afternoon’s docket.  Please pray that they get in front of a judge this afternoon and do not have to spend anymore time behind bars.

Update 2:30 PM Both Kristina and Brianna are being RELEASED! The judge has decided to release both of the Survivors, trusting them to show back up for a court hearing on April 6th. We are praying that the charges are dropped before that date.

Pro-Life Youth Arrested for Peaceful Free Speech Activity on Public Sidewalk

Life Legal Defense Foundation Defends Activists in Mississippi

JACKSON, Miss., March 7, 2012 /Christian Newswire/ — Yesterday, two college-age members of the Survivors Campus Life Tour were arrested on a public sidewalk outside of Murrah High School in Jackson, Mississippi, while distributing literature to students in front of the campus.

The group of pro-life youth activists first attempted to hold signs, distribute literature, and peacefully dialogue with students on the public sidewalk on Monday. Jackson School Police Officers immediately confronted the group and moved their signs across the street, sequestered students back inside the school grounds, and ordered students not to take the literature being handed out or speak with the demonstrators. The police claimed that the sidewalk belonged to the school and that they had a right to remove the pro-life activists. At the same time, the Survivors observed that the same sidewalk they were denied access to was being used by passersby and joggers.

After conferring with their attorneys from the Life Legal Defense Foundation (LLDF), the Campus Life Team returned to the public sidewalk in front of Murrah High School yesterday. When the police told the activists to leave the sidewalk or go to jail, Kristina Garza and Brianna Baxter remained, and were immediately arrested.

“Law enforcement officers and officers of the court are charged with protecting our civil liberties, but in this case they are intentionally conspiring to subvert the legal process and deny these pro-life advocates their right to due process of law,” said Dana Cody, executive director of Life Legal Defense Foundation. “Rest assured, everyone involved in the miscarriage of justice will be held accountable for their misdeeds.”

The Teenage Life Club Issues a Challenge to Pro-lifers of all age, I am stepping up, will you?

So I get excited when I see people decide to take action, ESPECIALLY youth.  I am asking that every pro-lifer of every age please follow the lead of these young people and write a letter? The 2012 Pro-Life Letter Campaign

This year, The Teenage Life Club has decided to host a 2012 Pro-Life Letter Campaign. Our goal is to send 1 million letters to the White House and the Supreme Court, voicing the pro-life opinions of our nation. It is crucial to send the letters and make an impact at this time, especially as elections are not too far off.

The purpose of The 2012 Pro-Life Letter Campaign is to open up an opportunity for people who are pro-life toexpress their opinions on the matter of abortion and to make an impact in the constant fight for life.
We are asking people to send letters to the White House and to the Supreme Court during March 2012.

People of any age can send letters. Adults and teens can write actual letters, while children are welcome to draw pictures and write a few phrases like “life,” “save the babies,” etc.

  1. Abortion violates the Fourteenth Amendment, of which the second half clearly states: “nor shall any state deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.”
  2. Abortion is murder, and it kills over 1 million babies every year in the United States alone.
  3. I am speaking on behalf of those who have not had the chance to speak for themselves, and I will not stop until unborn babies have their equal share of rights.

Update: We have reached 82% of out goal as of 1:30 Monday afternoon; we have raised $4,878.50 which is a great start to getting us caught up, thank you to those who have donated already. 

We need help now, I have not other way to put it. We have reached a critical time as last month showed the least amount of response to our monthly fundraising letter ever.

1. Currently we have several vendors that have been generous to us about bills for our resources but we must start making payments NOW to honor our relationships with them.

2. Our heating bill last month was over $800 as we are in a new office this winter.

3. Our rent is due today and it will practically clean out our bank account as we pay it.

Last month we raised less that $500 and we need at least $3,000 a month to operate as a ministry. (This does not include any payroll, no one is paid out of Stand True money, it all goes to our work.)

October Baby Hits Theaters Next Month – I just watched a pre-release and have something to say about it.

Many of my friends joke about the perks; I get with my job; backstage passes, lots of free swag, advance copies of books and movies to name a few. I admit that I love the perks, it is nice to be appreciated for the work I do. Recently I received a package in the mail from an upcoming movie that is being released in theatres next month, October Baby. It was an advance copy of the movie and a letter asking me to watch the movie and let them know how I felt about it.

Before I get into my thoughts, here is the trailer for you to check out:

I will admit that I normally cringe when I get a CD or movie in the mail that is supposed to be a great pro-life tool; I am kind of a snob for quality.  Knowing this movie what not shot with a huge budget I was waiting for disaster when I put it into the DVD player.

The last time I was surprised like this was when I saw a pre-release of the movie Bella, one of my favorite movies of all time. October Baby is a great movie with a a great message. So many times you only get one of those two qualities in a movie but October Baby delivered both.  Now you’re not going to get some high tech special effects or big name stars, but what you do get is a good, honest movie that really drives the message home.

I don’t want to give away too much of the plot here but I will tell you that this movie expresses the beauty of life in a powerful, yet difficult way. It takes you through a roller coaster of emotions that I believe will challenge the most staunch pro-choicer. I urge you to invite your friends to a evening at the movies on March 23rd.

Urgent Prayer Request: Pro-life Student Dying of Leukemia

Dear Pro-life Family

This is one of the most important prayer requests I have ever sent out. A young, dedicated and fearless pro-life student from Franciscan University is dying of Leukemia. Neal Rylatt is a Franciscan Student that is devoted to the pro-life movement. Neal has leukemia and based on the progressing disease, Neal is not eligible for the haplo transplant, and the only possible curative treatment is a very high risk experimental phase I treatment in Minnesota with little chance of success, and a large chance of very harsh side effects. They decided to do palliative chemotherapy to give him the most time and best life quality of the time he has left.

We are not sure how long Neal has left depending on how he responds to his chemotherapy. He was told 3-5 months and we hope and pray he lives long enough to go to Lourdes, a dream of his. We will continue to pray for a miracle.

Neal has been a pro-life warrior for years and always sacrificed for the cause of life. Neal would wear pro-life t-shirts to school constantly even when the school questioned him about them offending others.

In 7th grade he said what he wanted for his birthday was more Catholic and pro-life shirts to wear to his school.

He prayed in front of planned parenthoods, went on face the truth tours, and he would cover many, many 40 Days for Life shifts when people wouldn’t show up.

He has never been afraid to be involved in the pro-life movement, and he has been harassed and assaulted for standing up for his beliefs.

He has had many sufferings including a headache that kept him awake for 3 straight days.

He has always offered up his sufferings for the unborn and mothers and fathers affected by abortion.

Neal has two sisters and a brother who will also need our prayers along with the rest of his family.

Today Rev Pat Mahoney, Priests for Life Priests and pro-lifers gathered to be a voice in front of the White House to oppose the Obama contraception mandate. I will have more on this story later, but here are some of the first pics of the arrests. -

Priests for Life reports:

Father Denis Wilde, OSA, associate director of Priests for Life, was among six people arrested today during a peaceful protest outside the White House.

Father Wilde was representing Priests for Life at an organized protest of the HHS  contraception mandate that violates the First Amendment guarantee of freedom of religion. Priests for Life yesterday filed a lawsuit against the Obama Administration that seeks to permanently block the implementation of the mandate because it imposes clear violations of conscience upon any American citizens who morally object to abortion and contraception.

Father Wilde and the other protesters, including the Rev. Pat Mahoney of the Christian Defense Coalition, were cited for “Failure to obey a lawful order” as they knelt in prayer in front of the White House. They each paid a $100 fine and were released from custody.

“Occupy Wall Street protesters have been occupying federal property for months, but when we kneel in prayer, the police are called in and we are arrested,” Father Wilde said. “We knew that was the risk when we gathered today, and we will do it again regardless of the risk. What people of faith – of every faith – need to do now is stand with us.”

Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, said the New York-based organization remains committed to battling the HHS mandate because it forces Americans to become morally entangled in practices they find objectionable.

“As an organization of Catholic clergy, as a corporation that employs 60 people of various religious backgrounds, and as a ministry whose very purpose is to protect and promote the pro-life teaching about the specific practices at issue in the HHS mandate, we are particularly well-positioned to fight against this intrusion of conscience,” Father Pavone said.

Pro-life groups including the Christian Defense Coalition, Operation Rescue, Rock for Life, Students for Life of America, and Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust were all slated to join the prayer vigil.

“The faith community can never be silent or indifferent when it comes to matters of justice, human rights and religious liberty. We want to make it clear to President Obama that Christians would rather spend time in a jail cell than be coerced into complying with an mandate that violates our religious beliefs!” said Operation Rescue in a statement Tuesday.

Obama’s mandate that all employers cover all birth control, including abortifacients like ella, and sterilizations, has united Christians from numerous denominations in an unprecedented show of opposition. Despite an “accommodation” from the Obama administration last Friday ostensibly designed to appease religious-based opposition, the protests have only increased in vehemence, with the United States Conference of Catholic bishops denouncing the “accommodation” as insufficient.

Pastor Rick Warren of Saddleback Church has said that he would “go to jail rather than cave in to a government mandate that violates what God commands us to do.” Dr. Richard Land, president of the Southern Baptist Convention’s Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission (ERLC), has also said Christians would go to jail if the mandate was not changed.

Mahoney said the arrests were “in response to President Obama mandating religious institutions coverage of abortion-inducing drugs, sterilization and contraception in their health plans.”

He said the mandate “continues to involve needless government intrusion in the internal governances of religious institutions, and to threaten government coercion of religious people and groups to violate their most deeply held convictions. In a nation dedicated to religious liberty as its first and founding principle, we should not be limited to negotiating within these parameters. The only complete solution to this religious liberty problem is for HHS to the rescind the mandate of these objectionable services.”

“It is also important to send a clear message to the Obama Administration that the faith community will spend time in jail rather than be coerced into complying with an immoral and unjust mandate,” he added.
